Raatai was founded by Kalaiyarasi Ramachandran with a belief that weaving is more than a craft,it is a powerful tool for focus, calm, creativity, and human connection. Rooted in Tamil Nadu’s rich weaving heritage and shaped by years of on-ground learning, Raatai was built to make weaving simple, portable, and accessible for everyone—from children to seniors. What began as a mission to revive a traditional skill has grown into a movement that brings screen-free, hands-on learning into homes, schools, therapy spaces, and communities. Today, Raatai has reached 7 states and 23 nationalities, impacting 10,000+ students, supporting 500+ neurodiverse learners, engaging 500+ senior citizens, and running sessions for 500+ corporate professionals.
